Richmond House Launch

On the 25th of August, YWCA Victoria and its subsidiary company Social Housing Victoria officially launched the redeveloped Richmond House.

It was an extraordinary occasion with over 60 people attending including speeches from the Hon Wendy Lovell, Minister of Housing Minister for Housing and Minister for Children and Early Childhood Development, and Cr Alison Clarke, Mayor of the City of Yarra. Other Ministerial VIPs, YWCA Victoria Life Members, Members, sector partners, major contractors, Board, staff, friends of the Y, and most importantly the residents of the Richmond House also attended the event. It was certainly inspiring and comforting for our residents to witness the incredible community support shown at the launch.

Residents of Richmond House have contributed to the outcome of the redevelopment process. Their enthusiasm and contribution to redevelopment design, the cooperation around the relocation process and the assistance provided by the residents has been very much appreciated.
