YWCA WAND Program Film Fundraiser
25 Feb 2013Please join us for a matinée screening of "Performance" on Sunday 24th March 2:00pm at the Palace Westgarth Cinema. Funds raised will go towards our WAND Program (Women Achieving New Directions) which supports women living in YWCA rooming houses to access vocational, education, social and recreational activities.

Mother Daughter Fly Girl starting soon!
18 Sep 2012Mother Daughter Fly Girl is a program of fun physical activities that 11-14 year old girls and their mothers (or another significant woman in their lives) can enjoy together. Circus workshops alternate with group discussions that focus on developing self-esteem, self-confidence, a healthy body image and positive peer relationships.

An Affair to Remember
22 Sep 2011The Pink Affair Committee led by Teresa D’Amelia is busy organising the annual fundraising event to raise much-needed funds to support the YWCA Encore Program of gentle exercise (pool and floor) for women recovering from breast cancer surgery. The event will be held on Sunday October 2nd, during Breast Cancer Awareness month at Moonlight Receptions in Nicholson St, Fitzroy.

Dare to Dream
9 Sep 2011Dare to Dream is an aspirational program that builds resilience and self-esteem in at-risk teenage girls teaching them that anything is possible! The program was developed in response to statistics which place the City of Casey's girls below the state average for completing Year 12.
