    But there’s one problem - the place has no furniture.

    The YWCA Victoria property is undergoing a $6.5 million State Government-funded redevelopment, set to finish next week, to upgrade essential services and retrofit the existing building.

    Violence is the leading cause of homelessness for women, and insufficient available housing options forces women and their children into unsafe or inadequate situations such as sleeping in cars or returning to the home of the perpetrator.
