Volunteering
Throughout our 130 year history volunteers have provided thousands of hours of service to YWCA Victoria. This wonderful contribution has allowed us to maintain a strong, credible and effective voice for Victorian women.
YWCA Victoria attracts volunteers with a range of skills, interests and backgrounds who share a commitment to women and a desire to help the organisation achieve our program and advocacy priority areas. YWCA Victoria has a strong commitment to community involvement.
YWCA Victoria believes that volunteering benefits both the people who receive the voluntary services and the volunteers themselves, enriching the lives of those who volunteer.
The contribution of volunteers remains important to YWCA Victoria’s operations. YWCA Victoria recognises and values the reciprocal nature of the relationship between the organisation and the individual, and is committed to providing a volunteer program which both:
- Supports YWCA Victoria’s work
- Meets the expectations and needs of individual volunteers
Volunteers may be interested in the Asista Mentoring Program or some of our other Community Programs. Volunteers are also needed for event, administration, photography, design and marketing work.
