
ARTreach
ARTreach is a unique eight week community arts program that assists young women increase skills in leadership, team participation, creative thinking, decision making and peer and community engagement.
The ARTreach program empowers participants to individually and collaboratively explore concepts and ideas that affect them as individuals within their community through the engagement of various innovative visual arts medium. The program assists participants become strong and confident decision makers within their community whilst enhancing their self esteem, skills and sense of accomplishment as individuals.
ARTreach programs are designed and adapted specifically for each group in consultation with the ARTreach Youth Leadership Team and relevant groups and organisations within the young women’s community.
ARTreach provides all young women who have participated in the program with the opportunity to become a member of the ARTreach Youth leadership team. Members are involved in all decision-making regarding the design, delivery, facilitation and evaluation of all ARTreach programs production and exhibition processes. Through this membership, young women develop a range of long-term creative, cognitive, communication and leadership skills.
This program is delivered in Melbourne, Geelong and Bendigo by qualified and supportive facilitators with extensive skills and experience in fine arts professional practice, art therapy, youth work and community development.
