Women@Work
Women@Work is an art-based, educational program aimed at increasing confidence and identifying skills needed to obtain employment.
Women@Work is suitable for all women, whether they are experiencing long term or short term unemployment. Mature women who have never been employed will benefit from Women@Work, as will young women just entering the workforce.
Using art therapy and traditional educational techniques, women will be guided through self development exercises, practical discussion and a range of activities to explore a variety of topics:
- personal skills
- self esteem
- communication techniques
- conflict resolution
- stress management
- goal setting
- overcoming fears and barriers
- employer expectations
- value of work
- job and workplace research
- resume writing
- interview techniques and rehearsals
Programs can be approximately 30 hours in duration and can be flexible in delivery. Women@Work can be booked through YWCA Victoria to be presented at a venue that is convenient. This program can be run in Melbourne and Geelong.
