Call for applications to join YWCA Housing Board

YWCA Housing is currently calling for applications to join the board as an Independent Director.

YWCA Housing’s mission is to improve the lives of women by ending inequality.

YWCA Housing is committed to the highest governance standards and actively recruits Board Directors and advisors whose values and skills align with the organisation.We are seeking an Independent Director (ie: a Director who has no affiliation with the current Board of Directors of YWCA Victoria, the parent company) to join the Board.

Working with a committed and experienced Board, the successful applicant will join YWCA Housing at an exciting time of growth for the organisation. Note that this position is only open to women.

The Independent Director provides housing expertise and technical advice on housing matters as a director of the YWCA Housing board. However, an Independent Director is also a full voting member on the Board and has the same judiciary responsibilities as all Directors and as such, abide by all decisions made by the Board.

YWCA Housing values and supports young women's leadership and encourages applications from young women (aged 30 and under) and first time board applicants. 

Applications are sought from interested persons with relevant experience to fulfil the requirement for inaugural Committee membership.
