Women@Work
Women@Work is an art-based, educational program aimed at increasing confidence and identifying skills needed to obtain employment.
Women@Work is suitable for all unemployed women, whether long term or short term. Mature women who have never been employed will benefit, as will young women just entering the workforce.
Using art therapy and traditional educational techniques, women will be guided through self development exercises, practical discussion and a range of activities to explore a variety of topics:
- personal skills
- self esteem
- communication techniques
- conflict resolution
- stress management
- goal setting
- overcoming fears and barriers
- employer expectations
- value of work
- job and workplace research
- resume
- interview techniques and rehearsals
Programs can be approximately 30 hours in duration and can be flexible in delivery. Women@Work can be booked through YWCA Victoria to be presented at a venue that is convenient.
