Every term, YWCA Victoria receives approximately 500 requests for child care from language centres. The care is usually arranged a few weeks prior to the new term. YWCA Victoria contacts the family and arranges a child care place in the most appropriate child care service, either close to home or to the language centre. The care is provided at no cost to the family.
A range of different services are used, which include family day care, long day care, half day care, occasional care and kindergarten.
