Abortion Decriminalised in Victoria! 

We did it! At 10:30pm on Friday 10th October, the Abortion Law Reform Bill 2008 became law. The bill made it through both houses of Parliament without amendment, and was passed convincingly in a vote of 23 in favour, and 17 opposed.

Now, for the first time in Victoria, women facing a problem pregnancy up to 24 weeks gestation have a right to decide for themselves. Write to your MPs to thank them for voting for the legislation, visit www.prochoicevic.org.au.
