YWCA Victoria has partnered with CAE to create the opportunity for disadvantaged women to engage in learning with the support of a trained Volunteer Learning Mentor.
Training, education and employment are critical elements in building personal capacity and preventing homelessness for at risk, vulnerable people.
This is particularly the case for those who have experienced housing instability and homelessness, including women and their children who have fled from family violence.
A learning mentor can increase the ability of the person to keep engaged, focussed and enhance their self-belief, community participation and self-efficacy.
Transitions Project aims to empower women to create change in their lives, set goals and achieve personal growth.
